Handwriting and Presentation

At Brownhills West, we recognise the foundational importance of presentation and handwriting.  Handwriting is not merely a practical skill; it is a fundamental aspect of communication, cognitive development and personal expression. At Brownhills West, we place great importance on ensuring our children are able to write quickly and neatly when they are working. We want all our children to be able to write fluently so that, when they are writing, they are not spending lots of time thinking about how to form letters but instead can focus on making the content of their writing the best it can be. We want all our children to present their BEST work, and take pride in both the content and presentation of their learning.
